Current Payment Methods and additional fees:

A $15.00 'Service Call' fee is assessed by HomeComputerSetup for travel and other professional (Pre and Post) services. There's a $30.00 service fee for picking up and delivering a computer back to your home, office or site.

Any additional requests outside the scope of your "original" service request for help either before or after your service order is performed will be billed at a rate of $60.00 an hour broken down into 15 minute increments.

Our General Service Policies and Warrantees:

  1. All work comes with a free (1 week) E-mail support package related to your recently completed computer service request.
  2. All requested work comes with a 14 day Warranty. We will rectify any issues by having a technician return to your home to resolve the issue at no charge! . HomeComputerSetup is NOT responsible for any software that is lost due to misplaced or missing  software installation disks with a valid product key which is usually required to be entered at the time of installation by most software publishers. There may be some instances (rare but can happen) where your technician may have to return to your home (at no extra charge) usually the next day if a part is required or to contact a specific manufacturer with a support issue. If the support issue is at your request or outside the scope of your original service request; then a fee will be charged for returning and finalizing the issue.
  3. Someone 18 years old or older must be present for our technician to be able to enter your home. We prefer to have the person who ordered the service be present if possible.
  4. If there’s no one present upon arrival of your technician, the technician will call you using the contact number you have supplied HomeComputerSetup. If you can’t get to your residence within 15 minutes, or can’t make the appointment then you will be charged the $15.00 ‘Service Call’ fee. Please see are cancellation policy below for more details. We will be fair as possible concerning charging the customer the $15.00 ‘Service Call’ fee for missing an appointment; Please adhere to the cancellation policy below so that no issues will arise if at all possible.
  5. You will know the technicians full name, license plate number and he or she will present you with the formal work request for your service.
  6. You will be asked to sign a ‘Request For Services’ contract or asked to review the formal estimate/invoice for the specific work that your technician will perform and all associated fee's regarding your in-home service. This contract or estimate review protects both parties in case any issues would ever arise.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  1. HomeComputerSetup requires a minimum 3 hour cancellation from your scheduled in-home service appointment. PLEASE call (847) 800-7523 to leave a message of cancellation.
  2. If a customer “client” fails to notify HomeComputerSetup before the 3 hour cancellation window, then the customer may be billed the $15.00 ‘Service Call’ fee the HomeComputerSetup assesses for travel and (Pre and Post) professional services.

 

DISCLAIMERS and responsible parties:

HomeComputerSetup LLC or is not responsible for data that has been destroyed due to a virus attack or a severe computer system failure.

HomeComputerSetup is NOT responsible for any software that is lost due to misplaced or missing  software installation disks with a valid product key which is usually required to be entered at the time of installation by most software publishers.

Prices for services are subject to change without notice. A completed formal estimate will ONLY be valid for 14 days after it has been submitted to the client/customer. 

HomeComputerSetup LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if any of the following conditions arise or pre-exist. (i) Payment of previous service or services have not yet been collected; (ii) The hardware we (“HomeComputerSetup LLC”) assess is unusable, in poor condition or the hardware or software the customer “client” has purchased is non-compatible with the computer system; (iii) If the technician is asked to perform any illegal activities such as provide free services such as connecting non-contracted internet services or to load unlicensed or pirated software; (iv) If a  customers “client’s” residence is performing any illegal activities other than and including those mentioned above; (v) client is behaving erratically or in an aggressive way when the technician arrives or within the duration of service; Notice on discontinuation of service: You will be billed for your service call and any work that has been completed up to that point if applicable.

 

How Our Service Works: 

Create a service request based on your computer needs:
1. You can Order service from HomeComputerSetup using either of the following 2 methods!

a. You may place an order by calling us at (847) 816-6582 . If you have to leave a message on our automated phone system, please don’t forget to provide us with your name, the Computer Manufacturer (Sony, Dell, Hp etc...), the Computer Model (PCV-RS720G, 5100, 760N etc…), a description of what you'd like to have done and a contact number where you can be reached. You will have 4 minutes of recording time. Feel free to call us back if you have forgotten anything on your 1st message (please leave your name for reference purposes).

b. You may use the 'Information and Service Order Form' provided on each item page to either ask questions pertaining to any of our services or to ask us to contact you to schedule your in-home service.

2. A service representative will contact usually within 1-3 hours or less to discuss your service request in detail  and to schedule your in-home service. If you haven't heard from us within 3-4 hours there's a chance that a system communications error has occurred out of HomeComputerSetup's control. In this case PLEASE CALL US at (847) 800-7523 for a quick response so we can make sure that your order gets priority in our system. Thank you in advance for your patients. 

3. Your technician will arrive at your residence on you scheduled appointment time.

  1. You will know your technicians full name, license plate number and he or she will present you with the formal work request for your service.
  2. You may be asked to sign a Request For Servicescontract or review a formal estimate listing the specific work that your technician will perform and all associated fee's regarding your service request.  

4. Your technician will perform the services you have requested on your order.

5. All fees are to be paid upon completion of service. Please Make check payable to HomeComputerSetup LLC.
